Queer People

Text of Poem

Queer people eat soup
with a spoon just as I do
and burn their mouths
if it is too hot.
I know a man who sits
in a swivel chair so when
his phone rings he can whirl
until it stops ringing
on the theory that bells
make him dizzy.
